The Bologna Process - JISC infoNet’s timely new resource
March 18th, 2009
As representatives of the Higher Education sector from across Europe are meeting at the European Universities Association in Convention this week, JISC has taken the opportunity to highlight the new JISC infoNet infoKit on the Bologna Process. See JISC press release.
The infoKit is a ‘one-stop shop’ that links through to other agencies and organisations with specialist advice in areas such as policy (UK HE Europe Unit) and subject-specific information (Higher Education Academy subject centres) as well as gathering real life experiences (case studies on implementing the Diploma Supplement), exploring some of the mechanisms on offer and linking to other initiatives and strategic imperatives. The infoKit will be showcased at the forthcoming Association of University Administrators (AUA) Conference in Exeter (6-8 April 2009).
The infoKit has already caught the attention of colleagues in the sector. Andy Gibbs, UK Bologna Expert, Napier University says of the resource, “The JISC infoNet Bologna site brings all the relevant material together and presents it in a highly readable, logical and accessible format. I will definitely use it to complement my work as a Bologna Expert”.
