Sustainability-WISE JISC infoNet makes the shortlist
September 17th, 2009
JISC infoNet has been shortlisted as one of 16 finalists within the Sustainability category of the prestigious 2009 WISE Awards.
The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) Awards seek to promote projects and initiatives which demonstrate a “real and positive impact on Pluralism, Sustainability or Innovation within education”. Competition for the Awards has been very keen with a total of 395 applications received, across the 3 areas, from around the globe.
The JISC infoNet team is delighted to have been recognised for their work with the UK FE and HE sectors amongst a truly international range of entries. Sustainability, and the efficient and effective use of relevant resources has been a key to our success since the service was launched in 2003. We endeavour to offer a range of tried and tested approaches and innovation materials honed to the needs of the sector to allow colleagues to build capacity and free resources for value-added activity by not having to ‘reinvent the wheel’.
The winning entries will be selected by an international jury of ten leading educational experts and announced later this month.
